This is your opportunity to teach some of the most committed and intelligent students of English in the country as part of a highly skilled and cohesive team of teachers and support staff.

The key focuses of this role within the department will be to:

  • work within a highly successful and friendly team whose students make progress in the top 8% of schools in the country;
  • teach a range of exciting and challenging texts, including 'The Woman in Black', 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep', 'Of Mice and Men', 'Animal Farm' and 'Romeo and Juliet';
  • lead the Key Stage 3 'reading and writing workshops' programme, which aims to inspire students' love of reading and creative writing;
  • develop the existing partnership programme between the Department and School Library.
