On 1st March 2019 you will receive notification from your Local Authority whether or not you have been successful in being offered a place at Wallington County Grammar School.

If your son has been offered a place at our School: You will then be sent an offer pack from Wallington County Grammar School shortly after National Offer Day which will contain an offer letter and forms for you to complete. You must also always accept or decline any offer of a place with your Local Authority as well as informing the School.

Waiting List for Year 7: If your son reached the WCGS pass mark from the SET and listed our School as a preference on your CAF and if you were not offered a place at our School but you listed WCGS as a higher preference on your CAF than the offer you have been made by the Local Authority, then your son's details will be held on a ranked Year 7 waiting list.

Waiting list positions: Year 7 waiting list positions will only be available from near the end of March 2019 and will be communicated to you every few weeks via email. Please do not contact the School to ask about waiting list positions between these communications. The ranked waiting list for Year 7 will stay in operation until the end of the Autumn term in 2019 (31st December 2019).

Waiting list positions will change over subsequent weeks and months but if your son reaches the top of the Year 7 waiting list, the Admissions Officer will contact you personally to let you know when we have a vacancy for your son to join our School. The amound of movement on waiting lists differs each year so it is almost impossible to predict whether your son is likely to be offered a place.

Appeals: If you have not been offered a place at Wallington County Grammar School and wish to appeal against this decision, please refer to the Appeals section of this website for further information. We ask that Appeals be lodged within 20 School days from National Offer Day please (so by Friday 29th March 2019) in order for the Year 7 appeals to be heard on the same day in the summer term.
