Grade S5/S6 spine point 13-20 (paid pro-rata) - Salary £21,302–£24,135 per annum (Actual salary; dependent upon skills and experience)

36 hours per week; Monday to Friday

This is your opportunity to work with committed and high attaining secondary school students as part of a highly skilled and cohesive team of teachers and support staff.

The key focuses of this role will be to:

  • Support teaching staff during lessons in the provision of Chemistry across the age and ability range.  This includes:

a) Collecting and assembling apparatus

b) Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment, solutions and materials for demonstration and practical lessons

c) Constructing, modifying and repairing laboratory apparatus & ensuring all chemicals and apparatus are stored correctly

d) maintain records of materials & chemicals, ordering and disposal of chemicals where appropriate.

e) consulting health & safety literature and advising teachers where appropriate.

  • ·Provide administrative support for, and support the supervision of, STEM educational activities across the School;
  • ·Manage the technical, administrative and resource provision within Chemistry.
